Trend, lowest, 30-day average — how to read card prices

3 min · Oct 30, 2026 · Cardometer

Every card shows several numbers. Here is which is which and why they do not always agree.

Card prices come from Cardmarket — Europe’s largest trading card marketplace — and reach us daily via the TCGdex API.

Trend

An indicator Cardmarket calculates from recent sales and listings. It is our “market price”: the best guide to what a card really costs today.

Lowest

The cheapest current listing. It can be far below the trend, because a single listing may be a worse copy or ship from another country at a high cost.

1-, 7- and 30-day averages

Average sale prices over each period. Comparing the trend with the 30-day average drives our price drops, risers and the “Below usual / Above usual” levels.

Why cheap cards jump

For a card worth a few euros, two sales can move the average by half. That is why rankings skip cards under €3 and changes above 75% — usually noise, not a market move.
